So, I asked my friend and he said: smart, confident, witty, loyal and spirited. To that I’d add that I tend to be somewhat philosophical (both in the sense of thinking about life and in understanding that life is full of ups and downs), love to cook, enjoy traveling and explore new places. finally, you should know that I am deeply romantic and have gotten to the point in my life at which I am not interested in playing games. I want a partner, best friend, lover, fellow-traveler. I had been married for 20 years and I know quite well how to commit. I’ve done so to a business that I have founded 12 years ago, have a 23 year old daughter. All commitments. I am in the process of starting a new company (my 2nd company) which is exciting but also has it’s share of highs and lows. It’s got tremendous potential though, and is getting excellent uptake in the target market. It should start generating revenue soon, which will be a relief.
If I could build him from the ground up, he would be smart, well-educated, humorous, wise, witty, kind, thoughtful, confident, patient and ambitious. He would – as the saying goes – have met both victory and defeat and recognized each for the imposter that it was, yet be committed to a life of substance, meaning and enough of the finer things to feel comfort. He would both offer and expect respect to his partner, and would understand that strength lies in giving rather than receiving. He would share my vision of meeting someone and feeling amazing chemistry, of knowing very soon that you wanted to be around that person as much as you could, of setting aside ego, insecurity and fear of risk against the reward of magic, of knowing that by keeping it as pure and simple of possible, we might share something that would change our lives.
